The Cabins

Housekeeping Units

The five cabins at Green Acres each sleep 4 to 5 guests and are all housekeeping units, meaning that there is no maid service to disturb you during your stay.  We take great pride in providing exceptionally clean accommodations for our guests. And we expect that during your stay, you show the same care and respect for your rental as you would for your own home.

What We Provide

Each cabin is equipped with Wi-Fi, and has one to two bedrooms and one bathroom, a sitting area, and a living-dining room. The dining room table overlooks the large manicured lawns, Lake Willoughby and the mountains in the background.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove and fridge, microwave, toaster, small coffee maker as well as cookware, cooking utensils,  plates, cups and silverware.

A hairdryer, iron and ironing board are also available upon request.

A starter supply of dishwashing detergent, garbage bags, coffee filters, and toilet paper is provided.

Bed linens, blankets and pillows are included. Laundry service is not included

Fans are provided in all of the cabins.

Each cabin has a picnic table, two lawn chairs, and a clothes line. Guests may want to bring additional outdoor chairs and possibly a pop-up awning for shade.

Parking spots are provided at each cabin– with 2 spots for 2-bedroom cabins and 1 spot for Paddler, our one-bedroom cabin.

The cabins have access to the large lawn for playing wiffle ball, bocce ball, badminton, volleyball, horseshoes, and more.

All Cabin guests have use of our 50-foot private beach just across the road from the cabins.

What We Don’t Provide

To allow for a truly relaxing and peaceful environment, we have intentionally left television and phones out of the cabins. You are welcome to bring radios.

Food is the responsibility of guests. The Willoughby Lake Store just down the road provides pizza, ice cream, beer and wine, and gifts; the Willoughvale Inn within walking distance of the Cabins has a fine dining restaurant; and the nearby Evansville Trading Post offers basic groceries, gas and gifts. Larger  full service grocery stores can be found in Newport, about 20 minutes from the Cabins. For more information on food sources please see our Food & Products page.

#1 – Stonybrook is closest to the children’s play area and the nightly fire. You can hear the brook during the quiet of the night (unless it’s been a really dry summer).

#2 – Wheeler View is the only cabin with a tub and may be cooler because it is more in the shade of the trees.

#3 – Paddler is the only cabin with one bedroom equipped with a queen-sized bed and a pull-out couch in the living room.

#4 – Angler’s Choice has the best view of the gardens.

#5 – The Hyde Away is our most secluded cabin, located along the forest’s edge while retaining the beautiful lake views— ideal for those looking to get away from it all!
