A view of the cabins and grounds

The Cabins

Housekeeping Units. The five cabins at Green Acres each sleep 4 to 5 guests and are all housekeeping units, meaning that there is no maid service to disturb you during your stay.  We take great pride in providing exceptionally clean accommodations for our guests. And we expect that during your stay, you show the same care and respect for your rental as you would for your own home.

What We Provide

Each cabin is has one to two bedrooms and one bathroom, and a living-dining room. The dining room table overlooks the large, manicured lawns, Lake Willoughby and the mountains in the background.

We do not  provide any towels.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove and fridge, microwave, toaster, small coffee maker as well as cookware and cooking utensils.  Guests are responsible to bring their own paper products.

A starter supply of dishwashing detergent, garbage bag and toilet paper is provided.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have removed all extra blankets and pillows. We will provide sheets and one blanket per bed. Beds will be made. Guests are advised to bring an extra blanket as the nights may get chilly. Laundry service is not included

Fans are provided in all of the cabins.

Each cabin has a picnic table, two lawn chairs, and a clothesline. Guests may want to bring additional outdoor chairs and possibly a pop-up awning for shade.

Parking spots are provided at each cabin– with 2 spots for 2-bedroom cabins and 1 spot for Paddler, our one-bedroom cabin.

The cabins have access to the large lawn for playing whiffle ball, bocce ball, cornhole and other lawn games you may bring.

To allow for a truly relaxing and peaceful environment, we have intentionally left television and phones out of the cabins. You are welcome to bring radios. We do have WiFi but it can frequently be spotty or unavailable due to weather conditions and the area within which we operate.

Food is the responsibility of guests. The Willoughby Lake Store just down the road provides pizza, ice cream, beer and wine, and gifts; and the nearby Evansville Trading Post offers basic groceries, gas and gifts. Larger  full service grocery stores can be found in Newport, about 20 minutes from the Cabins. For more information on food sources please see our Food & Products page.

OUR FIVE CABINS

#1 – Stonybrook is closest to the children’s play area and the nightly fire. You can hear the brook during the quiet of the night (unless it’s been a really dry summer).

#2 – Wheeler View is the only cabin with a tub and may be cooler because it is more in the shade of the trees.

#3 – Paddler is the only cabin with one bedroom equipped with a queen-sized bed.

#4 – Angler’s Choice has the best view of the gardens.

#5 – The Hyde Away is our most secluded cabin, located along the forest’s edge while retaining the beautiful lake views— ideal for those looking to get away from it all!
